What happens with my question when I contact the Motor Learning Institute?

How do I get my certificate?

Your certificate will be sent to you when you finish the course including indication of continuing education credits earned.

Can I take a resit?

Yes, you can. You can submit your test answers for a course two times.

How do I get my results?

You will get your test results with feedback within two weeks after finishing the course.

How much time do I have to finish the online course?

You can finish the course at any time, whenever is convenient for you. Once registered and paid you will have lifelong access. This access remains available also when you finished the course.

When can I start the online course?

You can start the course at any time, whenever is convenient for you.

Will online classes meet at a specific time?

No, you can start at any time at any day.

Do I get homework assignments, tests, etc.?

Methods vary by course and instructor but can include pre-recorded lectures, videos, podcasts, slides, articles, blog posts, and more. Most time is devoted to clinical assignments working with actual patients or athletes to identify facilitators, barriers and other factors that may help you to successfully implement the knowledge you obtain from the courses. Please refer to the syllabus for your course for details about how your class will be taught.

What methods will be used to teach my online class?

We have instructional video’s, articles and a tool kit to get you started. For the best learning experience we invite you to apply what you have directly in your setting. For all courses, we provide you with coaching.

What are prerequisites of the online courses?

Certified trainer, physical education teacher, physiotherapist, strength conditioning specialist, athletic trainer.

Is there a class outline (syllabus)?

Yes, all the course material is on the learning platform.

How do I know when a new course or webinar will be offered?

We offer online courses, live Q&A/webinars and podcasts on a regular basis during the year. Announcements will be made through social media. If you are interested in an activity that is not currently offered please contact us at [email protected].

What if I change my mind and want to drop the course?

When registering for a course or webinar, there is a cooling-off period of 14 days, in accordance with legal regulations,

You will receive a Welcome email containing an access button providing direct access to the course.

Do I need specific equipment to take Online Courses?

You should have an up-to-date web browser such as: Chrome, Safari, Firefox. Our Online Courses can be accessed on a mobile or tablet device, although we strongly encourage you to have access to a desktop or laptop computer and reliable internet connection for certain course components. Former students have told us it is easiest to read discussion threads and complete written assignments on a laptop or desktop computer.

Can I receive continuing education credit for these courses?

Yes. We have applied for ‘Keurmerk Fysiotherapie’ (Dutch physiotherapy) and ‘KNVB’ (Dutch football coaches) accreditation. More accreditation is on its way and will be mentioned here as soon as confirmed. Let us know if we can help with accreditation in your country. We will list the CEU’s on the course certificate so you could submit that the agency in your country.

What is the time commitment for the courses?

We estimate the following: Discovery course: 50 hours Expert course: 250 hours Masterclass course: 1250 hours

Do the classes meet at a specific time during the week?

No, all of our online courses are offered asynchronously so you can complete the coursework at a time that is most convenient for you!

Does the Motor Learning Institute provide scholarships to help defray the cost of the courses?

What are acceptable payment methods?

We use Mollie as our payment platform. Their guarantee is: We take security extremely seriously. Through rigorous security checks, safe data storage, employee screenings and compliance with every available regulation, we can ensure the safety, stability and reliability of our payment platform. Can I take more than one course at a time?

Sure, but if you are new to online learning, we recommend that you begin with one course.

How do I select a course?

Visit the course catalog to browse our offerings. In addition to searching by course duration and availability, you can also search by subject to ensure you find a course that reflects your interests. Though it is not required, we encourage those who have not studied motor learning before to consider taking a discovery course first to get a solid grounding in the discipline before exploring more specific disciplines.
