“Return to Sports” (RTS) has established itself in recent years as a synonym for a whole range of functional analyses in the (sports) orthopedic setup. The goal is to enable a safe re-entry based on objective parameters. Modern measurement techniques for motion capture are essential here, but currently often raise more questions than they provide answers to. Dr. Alli Gokeler looks back on many years of experience in this field and shares his knowledge about analysis as well as training concepts.

This seminar highlights the correct and sensible use of technology and provides you with in-depth insights into the theoretical and practical content of modern RTS diagnostics, as well as the accompanying sensor-based training (for physiotherapists, sports scientists, doctors, biomechanically interested).

For this purpose, we provide video tutorials in advance to convey the basics. On site, theoretical basics are linked with practical tasks and analyzed with relevance to everyday life using patient examples and case studies.

Day 1 – Theoretical and practical content

  • RTS Diagnostics – Preliminary considerations
    • Guide Return to Sports – What do I measure and why?
    • Which technology contributes what – How can I determine which measurements are valid?
  • RTS Diagnostics – Data acquisition
    • Which measurement methods are used (part 1)?
    • How do I ensure good/valid data (part 1)?
  • RTS Diagnostics – Data interpretation
    • What do I pay attention to (part 1)?
    • Development of “norm values” (part 1)

Day 2 –Theoretical and practical content

  • RTS Diagnostics – Data recording
    • Which measurement methods are used (part 2)?
    • How do I ensure good/valid data (part 2)?
  • RTS Diagnostics – Data interpretation
    • What do I pay attention to (part 2)?
    • Development of “standard values” (part 2)?
  • Case studies from practice
    • Typical patterns and how to deal with them (therapeutically and diagnostically)
  • RTS as continuum
    • RTS in (therapeutic) daily life
    • Biofeedback training and therapy success control
